Tunneled connections

All of our tunnel types are free, tunnels types include VXLAN, GRETAP, Zerotier. Multiple tunnels to different locations are allowed from the same router, tunnels to the same location are allowed if this is from different routers. Only one MAC address and/or endpoint is allowed per tunnel.

Local vlan

Partners can ask for a setup fee (NRC) and/or a monthly fee (MRC) for local vlan. However most partners have chosen not to ask for any fee for local vlans when this is paired with an other service they provide.

Local connections can be added in the portal, but you are responsible for contacting your provider to add the vlan or interface to your virtual machine, colocation server or dedicated server.

Physical Port / Cross-connect

Partners can ask for a setup fee (NRC) and/or a monthly fee (MRC) for cross-connections and/or interface ports. Cross-connections may differ from datacenter to datacenter but most partners just ask the datacenter price without any overhead. For switches most of our partners use the "bring your own optic" option or ask a setup cost for the optic if they need to provide it.

BGP.Exchange will forward your request to our partner (or multiple depending on location) and they will contact you back with the various options and pricepoints. You are responsible for arranging and paying for the cross-connect and/or interfaces directly to our partner.

IPv6 Prefixes

Want to support BGP.Exchange and get something in return, then you can. By renting IPv6 prefixes via us, you support our not-for-profit project and get something useful back in return. That is also why the prices may seem a bit higher than other providers or IP brokers. This is a very good way for smaller ASNs to acquire more prefixes from an independent provider other than their main ISP or upstream.

Please note, that these prefixes will be assigned to your ASN and are not for tunneled services provided by us.
